2017 ST. PAUL, MN GETS ITS FIRST BLACK MAYOR!
Melvin Carter has made history by becoming the 1st Black Mayor of St. Paul Minnesota. Carter, who has a bachelors in Business administration and a Masters in Public policy aims to raise the minimum wage, expand childhood education, fill job vacancies and introduce his “Community first police reform.
The 38 year old St. Paul native and former high school track star is known for his work with Gov. Mark Drayton and creating the St. Paul Promise Neighborhood which supports families and fights poverty.
Carter has alot ahead of him. In a city thats just recently been under spotlight after the murder of Philandro Castille. This economically deprived city really needs a Superman.
